About this Recipe

Hi! Let’s cut the myth that tofu is boring and a tasteless “Vegan” product! Actually it’s a great thing that it’s tasteless, that way you could marinade it with quite lots of spices in many ways. It gives me honey-garlic chicken-wings vibes lmao. Give it a try 🙂
Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 400g natural tofu
  • 7 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic (powder)
  • 1 tsp paprica powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1-2 tbsp corn starch
  • some pepper

You can use several sweeteners instead of maple syrup. If you soak them in the marinade for longer the taste gets even more intense !

Extra tip:
I espespecially like it with a combination of some steamed vegetables and white rice ! Top it with some spring onion, sesame seeds, chilli sauces or whatever you like !

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Press out excess water out of the tofu, cut it into small cubes and coat them with cornstarch.

Step 2

Mix the ingredients for the marinade in small cup together and heat up some oil in a pan.
