About this Recipe

Hi! These are my first and best attempt at making vegan brownies, wether you like a normal sugary version or a bit healthier one that doesn’t contain any industrial sugar & are high in protein. They’re both delicious & fudgy and satisfy every sweet tooth or craving after chocolate.


  • 125g flour
  • 250ml plant milk
  • 50g cacao
  • 2 tbsp protein powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp “Smacktastic” (sweet flave powder) or 50g coconut sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • (opt.) some vanilla

For topping:

  • 50g hazelnuts
  • 50g chocolate

You can use any kind of nuts but I decided to take hazelnuts. I replace the egg with some more water and flax seeds. You could also add cherries !

Extra tip:
I personally prefer them soft and juicy that’s why I do not bake for long. If you would like them a bit crispy, just put it in the oven for a bit longer.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 175°C bottom/top heat and line a baking tin (20×20 cm) with baking paper.

Step 2

Mix the flour, baking powder, raw cacao, protein powder and sweetener (or coconut sugar) in a bowl.

Step 3

Whisk together the starch, line seeds, milk, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl & fold in the oil.

Step 4

Mix the liquid mixture into the flour mixture, then fold in the chopped chocolate & hazelnuts.

Step 5

Pour the brownie mixture into the mold and bake for about 20 minutes. After 15 minutes use the toothpick test.

Step 6

Let the finished brownies cool for at least 5 minutes and then cut into bite-sized pieces. Enjoy! 🙂
